    per month, net starting salary (excluding mutual deduction).

During your first years as a legionnaire, up to and including the rank of corporal (2 to 4 years), you are provided with free clothing, food, and lodging.

Your pay is equivalent to your civilian salary. It is specific to each individual, as its calculation takes into account numerous criteria, the main ones being:

  • Your rank
  • Your seniority
  • Your family situation
  • Your qualifications acquired within the Legion
  • Your mobility allowance

To the salary can be added various bonuses or allowances:

  • Field training (20 to 70 euros per day)
  • External missions (2000 to 3000 euros per month)
  • Paratroopers premium (parachute regiment, 600 euros per month) ...
Holidays:
  • 45 working days / year.
  • 75% discount on train tickets (SNCF) which will allow you to travel within France at a lower cost, on holydays or week-ends
